Your Captain
Sonny Sullivan was born and raised in Bermuda and has worked in the Bermuda tour boat and watersports industry for over twenty years. After gaining experience in commercial fishing (and seasickness) on his grandfther's boat, Sonny joined Jessie James Cruises as its very first employee. There he learned not only boat handling, but also the maintenance of all onboard systems. Upon reaching age 18, he sat for his Marine Pilot's License and then moved from deckhand to captain, immediately becoming master of m/v Consort, running shipwreck snorkel tours. As the company grew, he was moved to m/v Looking Glass, a glass-bottomed boat. After a move to Fantasea Cruises, Sonny then found himself captaining the company's dive boats. At present, Sonny is captain of his very own snorkel boat. Not only does Sonny earn his living on the water, he makes his home aboard the m/v Margin Call, a 41' Hatteras motor yacht. When not working or sleeping on the water, he is usually out snorkelling or fishing. With a 906lb blue marlin caught on Argus Banks and an 84lb grouper caught on a spearfishing trip, you can say the ocean is Sonny's life!
